I feel the need to acknowledge something:
In the last few days of release, over a hundred and fifty copies of Bubblegum Jane have sold, a mix of digital and printed. Before I’ve started any sort of glitzy ad campaigns to push Jane across other media brackets, these numbers have been entirely because you “First Day Buyers” showed genuine interest and word-of-mouth. You jumped on these early copies because you really wanted to see where this goes next.
That’s not something promotion can buy! That’s entirely you guys, emitting great vibes for the relaunch, where the hype was true anticipation and not engineered or marketed. For as long as we’ve ALL waited for Jane’s return, that really means a lot to me! It’s the most honest kind of support I can imagine.
So… Thank You. Seriously.

Brief update
A few more delays, guys, but hopefully before the weekend. I had a few technical setbacks while prepping the work for the printing company. But it’s all in their good hands now, I’m waiting for the green light before posting any links.

An announcement.
It’s been a long time but Jane’s adventures are back. And after so long, it was absolutely wonderful to see all the supportive comments on the teaser page! Jane’s first issue came out back in 2011 and I regret I was unable to continue working on it, due to unexpected (and long term) developments in my life. I can’t believe some of you have waited all this time for the continuation, but I’m REALLY grateful you did! You have no idea! It makes the effort totally worthwhile.
Even as the official astronomical end of Spring is technically June 20-ish, I’m unfortunately still going to be a little late by that calendar. Shit happens. But with this many years, maybe another week (or so) isn’t too terrible, yeah?
As I was finishing the second comicbook, I saw a big difference in the coloring of the first comic. 8 years is quite a while, after all. So at the last minute, I decided to go back and update Issue 1. The inks and layouts are the same, but the color style has been tweaked for consistency. I’ll post images soon to highlight the comparisons of old and new.
The point is that Issue 1 “Redux” will go up at Indyplanet at the same time as Issue 2. I may need to update prices as well. For the future, I’m considering Patreon, Kickstarter, a few other options, but a lot depends on how well things go for Issue 2.
